Sea Stacks at Sunset

Description

Chased by Venus, a pair of honking geese flew across the sky as I took this sunset picture last night. And, the lights from the mast of a sailboat are visible on the left side of this scene while the lights of Port Orford twinkle on the right side. Tichenor Island and The Port Orford Heads are silhouetted on the horizon between the two sea stacks in the foreground. It was an exhilarating sunset to witness!

Quote of the Day: “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dream. Wandering by lone sea breakers, and sitting by desolate streams. World losers and world forsakers, for whom the pale moon gleams. Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems. ~Arthur William Edgar O'Shaughnessy

Until I actually spotted the geese (it took a while), I was thinking Venus was another pet of yours. So where was Oshie?

But alas, it was the planet! A magnificent image, and the quote is stunning. "...for whom the pale moon gleams..." #1427503
